Digestive Enzyme Supplements for Arthritis

My dad is 72 years old. For the last two years or so, he has had severe pain in both knees. He used to brush it off saying it was "water on the knees," but it got to a point recently where he couldn't take it anymore. I took him to his doctor (who is also my doctor), and after some scans and testing found out he has arthritis. Expecting him to be put on a medication for the pain, he ended up leaving the doctors office with a prescription for digestive enzyme supplements.

I have to admit that it confused both of us. Why would the doctor prescribe digestive enzyme supplements for arthritis? We both trusted the doctor and my dad didn't want to bother him again, so he wanted to try the supplements. I did do a bit of research online, and I honestly was pretty surprised about what I read. Seems that these all natural pills do help arthritis in many cases.

The pain, the inflammation, everything. I didn't want my dad to get his hopes up, so I remainded silent. About three weeks later my dad came to me to tell me the supplements were actually working for him. I was more then thrilled, and told him to keep taking them. Thank you Doctor for helping my daddy.
