Digestive Enzyme Supplements for Heartburn

I have suffered from heartburn for as long as I can remember. Even as a little girl my mom used to find me huddled in the corner after a meal. "What's wrong?" she asked me. I used to describe it as "bubbles" in my chest, now realizing it was the beginning of my battle with heartburn.

Over the years, I must have tried everything to combat it except surgery. After a recent visit with my gastroenterologist, he told me I may want to consider surgery to reduce the inflammation. I was flabbergasted, I did not want surgery, but I needed relief. A few days later my husband said that one of his co-workers has terrible heartburn and takes digestive enzyme supplements. He told my husband that they make all the difference in the world.

With that kind of recommendation, I had to try it. I went to a heath food store and purchased a bottle of all natural digestive enzyme supplements. I have been taking them for the last week. All I can say, is what a difference! I truly believe I have found my miracle. My heartburn is 110% better. I told my doctor he needed to forget about scheduling that surgery!

Digestive Enzyme Supplements for Arthritis

My dad is 72 years old. For the last two years or so, he has had severe pain in both knees. He used to brush it off saying it was "water on the knees," but it got to a point recently where he couldn't take it anymore. I took him to his doctor (who is also my doctor), and after some scans and testing found out he has arthritis. Expecting him to be put on a medication for the pain, he ended up leaving the doctors office with a prescription for digestive enzyme supplements.

I have to admit that it confused both of us. Why would the doctor prescribe digestive enzyme supplements for arthritis? We both trusted the doctor and my dad didn't want to bother him again, so he wanted to try the supplements. I did do a bit of research online, and I honestly was pretty surprised about what I read. Seems that these all natural pills do help arthritis in many cases.

The pain, the inflammation, everything. I didn't want my dad to get his hopes up, so I remainded silent. About three weeks later my dad came to me to tell me the supplements were actually working for him. I was more then thrilled, and told him to keep taking them. Thank you Doctor for helping my daddy.

Digestive Enzymes: Do They Really Work for Weight Loss?

My daughter is sixteen years old, and has always been a bit on the chubby side. I guess it is genetics, because I was chubby when I was her age as well. Well, she has tried almost every diet out there, against my warnings. I see how the extra weight effects her. I think she would be more outgoing and all around happier if she could get rid of the extra weight.

I was recently waiting in a local salon to have my hair done, reading a magazine. It was going on and on about the many issues that are helped by taking digestive enzyme supplements, one being weight loss. I found the article very interesting, but was wondering if anyone had every tried this for weight loss?

I would like to tell my daughter about it, especially since the article specifically says that digestive enzyme supplements are all natural. In the article I am speaking of, there was a girl about her age that used these with a proper diet to lose 25 lbs. 25lbs is just about what my daughter needs to lose. I think I will bring it up to her and then together we will bring it up with her doctor. Just to be on the safe side.
